Education System Philippines – to study in the Philippines

Both education and vocational training are high priority in  the Philippines. The Department of Education ( DepEd ) is responsible as the Ministry of Education in the Philippines and oversees for basic education institutions, both governmental as well as private institutions. The education system is consists of public primary and secondary schools and almost exclusively private or church -operated colleges and universities. There is 6 – year compulsory education, which can be completed in a private or public elementary school. After high school, one may have enroll to college or a university or take a vocational training. Bachelor courses last for  4-5 years, then a master’s degree can be obtained after a further two years of study.
