Davao is known by its cleanliness, progressive and modern city. It is also known as the home of the Philippine Eagle. Durian fruit is also a signature of the city, where you can find varieties of it in this place. People may describe durian as stink like hell but taste like heaven.

The festival pays tribute to the artistic, cultural and historical heritage. The highlights of the festival are river festival, an indigenous music exhibition and dance competitions. There are also trade fair, food and music parties, street dancing and floral float parade.
